Sewickley Man Heads to Trial on Silverware Burglary Charges

Police say about $25,000 worth of family heirlooms were stolen.

A Sewickley man accused of pawning $25,000 worth of stolen silverware belonging to a borough family is headed for trial. Brian Ramoutar, 22, of Beaver Street, appeared in Leetsdale District Court last week and waived all charges to court, including two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, and one count each of receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sewickley police arrested Ramoutar on Dec. 15 after receiving a tip that he took several pieces of silver from a home in the 900 block of Beaver Street, police said. Police said the victim told officers on Dec. 5 that she realized silver was missing while preparing for a dinner party. Ten days later she confronted Ramoutar believing he may have been involved. District Court: Ross Man Waives Burglary, Forgery Charges

Police said Patrick Kasbee forged a check and stole two credit cards.

A Ross Township man recently waived several burglary related charges to court. Patrick Kasbee, 19, of Tally Drive faces charges of burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, poossesing instruments of a crime, forgery and unlawful taking. Franklin Park police received a report on Oct. 17 of a theft from a Sylvan Drive home. Police said Kasbee was staying at a friend’s house where he pried open the parents bedroom and took a check and two credit cards. He had a friend cash the forged check for $525 through the ATM, but only received $100 while waiting for the entire check to clear. Beaver Falls Man Charged After Showing Up Drunk to AA Meeting

Sewickley Police said Richard W. Heffner, 32, of Beaver Falls, stole a trumpet from St. James School before showing up drunk to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.

A Beaver Falls man is facing charges after police said he stole a trumpet then showed up drunk at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Richard W. Heffner, 32, of Beaver Falls, is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Sewickley Police were called shortly after 8:30 p.m. Feb. 3 to St. James School, 201 Broad St., for a report of two men, possibly intoxicated, in the school parking lot, police reported. When police arrived, a janitor at the school told officers that two men came into a side door at the school and knocked on the door, police said. The janitor asked what the two wanted and the men asked him where the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting was, he said. The janitor told the men the meeting …
