Jeanne Dutel, Neighbor

Jeanne Dutel formerly worked as a freelance writer for both the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the old Pittsburgh Press.  

A certified teacher in Pennsylvania, Dutel taught English and Media courses at Pine-Richland High School for over a decade. In 2009, she moved to her native New Orleans, albeit temporarily, to teach and care for family. Previously, Dutel also held positions at KDKA and WQED, WKRG, Mobile, AL, and KLFY, Lafayette, LA.  

A longtime Wexford resident, Dutel has returned to the community to work for a Pittsburgh-based CPA firm,  Urish Popeck & Co., LLC. learning how to juggle numbers, in addition to words.

Dutel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Louisiana State University, and a B.A. degree in Secondary Education from Point Park University.
