Lugenia is a Registered Nurse and graduate of Carlow College with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. For the last 15 years, she has specialized in mental-health nursing. She currently works for a local non-profit organization that services children with emotional and mental health issues. She is also a substitute nurse in a local school district.
<br>She has been married for 12 years and has two very active young boys. The 10-year-old is diagnosed with ADHD and the 8-year-old has low functioning autism. Life with them is quite a journey. Despite working in the mental health field, Lugenia still has to navigate through the "system" trying to find available services in her area.
