In Photos: Sewickley Celebrates Oktoberfest 2013

Bratwurst, beer, music, and friends come together at the second annual event.

When organizers of the Sewickley Octoberfest added a special session for children this year, they weren't sure what to expect.

Jennifer Markus of Village Green Partners said Saturday's inaugural kids session turned out to be a hit.

"The kids session was so successful that we're thinking about having more entertainment and live music," Markus said, referring to next year's annual fundraiser, which helps to support VGP.

Village Green Partners thanked Penguin Bookshop, Sewickley Public Library and Sweetwater Center for the Arts for providing the children's activities, which included arts and crafts, music and dancing.

Adult revelers also had plenty to partake in, from traditional food and beverages to live music and entertainment.
