Sewickley Valley Chamber and Penguin Bookshop to Host Author and Motivational Speaker

The Sewickley Valley Chamber of Commerce will host an award-winning author and motivational speaker as part of its "Professional Development Speaker" series.

Nancy Stampahar will be discussing how to “Re-ignite your Business…and Yourself,” on Wednesday, July 17.

The event will be held at the Penguin Bookshop, 420 Beaver St., with event registration open at 8:45 am and the presentation from 9 to 9:45 a.m.  A 15-minute question-and-answer session will follow.

Cost to attend the event, which includes a continental breakfast, is $20 (or $10 for VGP Partners). The speaker series is open to local merchants, business owners and other interested individuals.

Stampahar has more than 15 years of experience in public speaking, training and organizational development, and is the author of  the personal growth book,  Peace, Love And Lemonade: A Recipe To Make Your Life Sweeter.

She will provide practical business reinvention methods, customer service techniques, and personal growth insights that will energize and inspire action.

“Burned out and losing the fire that once fueled you? If so, then it’s time to eliminate the complacency,” Stampahar said. “If you are bored and unexcited about your business, then your customers will be bored and unexcited as well. I will show how business owners can recapture the enthusiasm that creates new customers.”

After the workshop, attendees may participate in the question-and-answer to address any matters related to their business.

The Sewickley Valley Chamber of Commerce (SVCC) aims to educate and connect local merchants, professional services and nonprofits, and works hand in hand with Village Green Partners to promote the area as a destination for shopping, dining and living.
