1. Sewickley Council

Sewickley Council will hold its committee of the whole meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 in council chambers at the municipal building, 600 Thorn St. 

2. Heritage Valley Edgeworth Opens

Heritage Valley Health System’s newest medical neighborhood – Heritage Valley Edgeworth officially opens today, Aug. 12. Read more here

3. 10th Annual Cindystock

The 10th annual Cindystock is Saturday, Aug. 17. The outdoor music festival featuring Bill Deasy, Dan Navarro, Melinda, Brad Yoder and Maura Elyse.  A picnic buffet is also featured. All proceeds benefit local cancer charities including the Obediah Cole Foundation, UPCI Colon cancer program, Adagio Health, Satchels of Caring and the Cancer Caring Center.  For more information visit www.cindystock.org

4. Paint and Sip Class-- Cityscape

Develop and finish a painting in one evening using Tara's fun, colorful, impressionistic painting style at Sweetwater. Starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Aug. 12. Open to seasoned painters and beginners. Click here to learn more

5. Lawn Chair Movie Night: 42

Bring your own lawn chair, bean bag or yoga mat from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 to the Sewickley Public Library for a presentation of this new release: "42," The life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey. The movie is PG-13, 128min and open to ages 13 and up with an adult.
